Josh Groban knew he had a gift in the 7th grade, but he also knew that straight A's were also very important. Thanks to his friend David Foster he was cast in the TV production of Ally McBeal three times! Josh Groban then released his self titled album Josh Groban in 2001 which turned into a double platinum selling album. This was mainly due to the phenomenal success of the single you raise me up. All the time Josh Groban has been making Grammy Nominating albums he has also been doing a lot of charity work and even has his own Josh Groban Foundation. The foundation was inspired on a trip to South Africa where he met Nelson Mandela and was so amazed by the work he did that he set up his own foundation to help children in need.
