Web designing was one topic we tackled back in high school. If I remember right, we had to deal with HTML before, designing sites using tables and stuff. After three years off high school, I can still remember the basics of HTML, specially the table tags, but the rest like putting marquees and specifying how they should appear on the page is but a distant, vague memory to me. My computer teachers said before a web designing company makes a lot of money, especially now that most establishments promote their products using the internet, which is a lot cheaper compared to our conventional TV and news ads. Establishments realize that a good website is a plus in making their products look appealing to the potential buyers, so they invest in a good web designing company, or person. So if I had studied better, I could have been putting up company sites and earned good money from it, instead of designing my personal sites which, well, talk about me and I don’t pay myself much money.

As we all know, the internet is a powerful media which is quite accessible to people. Even companies have access to it and can easily post their products for the world to see and acquire. But the equality can only be up to that point as each establishment has to make their own mark in a viewer’s mind. Very much like a personal site, although the target of the site is to promote their products and become accessible to people who may recommend improvement to their performance. So again, as a personal site, an establishment’s site should mirror the establishment, and this is where a good web designing company comes in. Aside from being a commercial weapon, a company site is also like a 24-hour costumer service hotline, as web sites are there 24-7, all year round. They not only attract costumers but also keep them, too.

But then, in this day and age where people like to multitask, web designers also put some very useful items in a company’s site. Take for example, a search engine so clients can compare and choose items, which one is most fit for their needs. Aside form the client’s needs, web designers also provide hassle-free setting up of the company’s site. Take for example, web hosting, with which a web designing company takes it to itself to put of its clients site in the internet. Also, they help publicize the site by submitting their costumer’s site address to popular search engines like Yahoo and Google, so people can be more aware of it.

However, the company’s site does not end with the web designing. The company also has to put personal touches to their part of the digital world. As a good web designing company does, it makes the sites easy to maintain, so that the owner-company would find it easier to add site contents for themselves when they up their latest products and changes to inform their clients.
