It was probably because of the California Dreams tour that it was more of the confectionary world, because everything I've seen for the last year has been like cotton-candy scented or huge peppermints or massive gummy bears.

Strathclyde, in Gaelic, means valley of the River Clyde, is a historic Scotlands subdivision and from 1975 to 1996 used to be one of the regional council regions of Scotland. Named after the ancient Dumnonii Kingdom of Strathclyde, Strathclyde Region widely sprawls on the northern end of the same region with two important exceptions of Argyll and the islands of Arran and Bute.
The first kingdom had modern day Dumfries and Galloway and some share of Cumbria. This region has the vastest land area in the UK, a region that stretches from the Southern Uplands to the Highlands. The local and administrative capital and the largest city was Glasgow, the remaining area formed the counties of Argyll, Ayr not the far north side in the county, Lanark, Bute, Dunbarton and Renfrew. The Local Government of Scotland Act 1973 replaced the county and borough councils with regions and districts that came into effect in May 1975.
19 districts of Strathclyde Region were located in 6 sub regions or divisions which were in harmony with the counties they had replaced, Argyll Sub region, also called Argyll and Bute. Ayr Sub region consisted of Cunninghame, Cumnock and Doon Valley, Kyle and Carrick and Kilmarnock and Loudoun. Dumbarton Sub region had Strathkelvin, Dumbarton, Clydebank, Cumbernauld and Kilsyth and Bearsden and Milngavie in it.Glasgow Sub region just cosists of Glasgow. Lanark Sub region has cities like Hamilton, Motherwell, Monklands, Clydesdale and East Kilbride. Eastwood, Inverclyde and Renfrew form the Renfrew sub region.
The local rows of government were abandoned in 1996 and all its responsibilities went to the District Councils and they had to form unitary authorities, and these are 32 in Scotland. The following Unitary Authorities that are sprawled over the county are Argyll and Bute, East Renfrewshire, East Ayrshire, East Dunbartonshire, Inverclyde, North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire, North Ayrshire, South Ayrshire, West Dunbartonshire, Renfrewshire and City of Glasgow. A few regional services that used to be put in use by the regional council are now run combined by its descended authorities. These are the Strathclyde Partnership for Transport Authority, the Strathclyde Fire Brigade and the Strathclyde Police Force.
Strathclyde used to be a Brythonic kingdom, where as Argyll was the centre point of the Gaelic kingdom that belonged to Dal Riata, who had claimmed it most probably from the Picts. Bute and Arran were always Brythonic until set apart by Dal Riata and later by Scandinavians. It has a lot of fascinating towns to visit that are steeped in history, and should be high on the list for all Scotland Visitors.
