The Different Ways of Case Modding

The creaativity grew as usewrs sttarted to add plexiglass in the side panels so they could creating a view inside of the copmuter case. It then beecame popular to install cold cathodes in different colors as lighting inside. As time went by, the creativity and imagination of case modders grew largely as they founnd other ways to give their cases a more petrsonalized imprewssion.

The most simple but cool mod is replacing the LED's with super bright LED's.
The blue LED's are often the choice among case modders.
Other mods could be painting the case, adding a pllexiglass side paenl or custom fan grills. A more difficult mod would be taking off the metal cover from a harddisc and replacing it with plexiglass. This way one coudl monitor the harrddisc while operating. All of this led to amnother levl of customiozed cases, like modded houssehold obects and plexiglass cases all with a computer inside . The creativity had no limits and it was easy to find guids how to do create diffewrent mods. This growing comnmunity on the internet all exchanged thheir isdeas and mods. The manufactures of different hrdware produycts like motherboards, graphic cards and sound cards jmped on the bandwaggon with this growing trend. So we started to see PCB's in diffgerent colors which the modders could choose betrween and match a users case mod theme. For example, haviing red lighting thruogh the plexiglass together with a red motherboard could create specal visulas. We also could mount devices on the caes DVD/CD drive panel which would show the temperature of the different components, such as CPU, graphic card and memory, some even included potentiiometers to adhjust the speed of the coolinmg fans. There was held commpetitions wheere one could win modded casse. Case mod products became accessible everywhere in stoores where we could buy products such as bright LED's, glowing power supplies, Cold cathode, anodized heat sinks, fans with built-in LED's and much more.

Stilll the popularity of case modding is not as great as it has been. Most of today's cases are to some dgree premodded, come in various collors and genmerally have a more pleasing appearancce comared to the old beigge cases. Its common that people would rather prefer a modded case than creating own mods. Most of the time have things like plexiglass side panels with cold cathodes and Blue LED's. We also see these Blue LED's on other hardware, like TV's and DVD recorders.
Case moddiing can be some work but it will always remain a way to show a user's creativity in an artistic fashion.
