As reported by SFGate online, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich has donated $15,000 to San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom's gubernatorial campaign. Ulrich lives in the Bay Area and previously donated money to John Edwards' 2008 presidential campaign. Ulrich has been present in the political spotlight before, having appeared in the 2007 documentary Why Democracy? Ulrich appeared in the film, answering ten questions revolving around his views about God, democracy as well as systems of government.

Blink 182 music is historic! Blink was one of the biggest pop punk bands back in the day. The band, made up of Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus, and Travis Barker is most known for their music that was made up of juvenile and toilet humor. The ability to play blues piano is usually not expected of beginning pianists. Lady Antebellum, the reigning Vocal Group of the Year from the CMAs, notched another first under its belt during the first week in February, when the talented trio of contemporary country music artists released their new full-length album Need You Now to No. 1 fame on the Billboard 200. With stiff competition closing in on the album's second week of release, Lady A's current hit album sold enough copies to hold steady at No. 1 for two weeks in a row, bringing its total sales to over 689,000 units in just 14 days.

I'm a music lover myself, so I am always looking for new music genres and on new sites where I can buy my music' have it be a CD or a download. Recently I started looking for some reggae and riddim music. Riddim is actually a pretty interesting "sound" if you ever get the chance to listen to it! A riddim is an instrumental version of a song, which applies to Jamaican music or other forms of Caribbean music. Riddims usually consist of a drum pattern and a prominent bass line. The Jamaican Patois term riddim is derived from the English word "rhythm."

Japanese taiko drums are perhaps some of the most dramatic percussion instruments ever created. Originally used in both Japanese folk and classical musical traditions, taiko drumming has moved with the times and evolved into a modern art form called kumi-daiko, which refers to ensemble taiko drumming. Exhibitions of kumi-daiko can include taiko of all different shapes, sizes, and pitches. Anywhere from one to dozens of performers use sticks called "bachi" to strike the instruments.
