A stun gun or stun baton is an electrical self-defense device that uses a high voltage to stop an attacker from inflicting more pain or injury to another person. By just touching a person with the prongs on the stun gun or baton it quickly immobilizes the attacker and temporarily renders them helpless. This gives a victim ample time to get away from the attacker. However, because the amperage is very low, no serious or permanent injury is inflicted which is also good to know in case you are accidently stunned as well at any time.

A new study shows that half of binge drinkers who drove off after drinking heavily, bought the alcohol at a drinking establishment, like a bar or restaurant. The study was conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and focused on 14,000 binge drinkers, who said that they drink at least 5 or more alcoholic beverages in one drinking session, at least once a month. 12 percent of these drinkers admitted that they had driven a car within two hours of the last time they drank heavily. Of these motorists, more than 50 percent drove off after binge drinking or drinking more than 5 alcoholic drinks in a bar, restaurant, night club or other establishment. An estimated 50 percent of the drivers, who drank in the establishment and drove off later, had drunk 7 or more alcoholic drinks. About a quarter of the drinkers had drunk at least 10 alcoholic drinks.
