The writing is on the wall (street, that is), and it is telling us that we need to reaffirm the United States as the dominant force in the global economy, and that we have to do more to protect our citizens' retirement and investment programs.

Later this month the Republican presidential candidates will participate in debate in Colombia, South Carolina. This debate will allow Americans to see and hear what each candidate brings to the Presidential table. Perhaps there will be a leader who comes out of this debate as a favorite. Or there may just be what the Democrats have offered, which is nothing but fax-blast talking points with little honest substance. We hope someone stands out and that person must deliver answers which lock-step with true Conservatism. One of the most important of all points of debate should be addressing the American Income Tax system.

How many times have you been watching or listening to a left wing pundit when they accuse the right of fear mongering? It happens quite a bit, I have even heard it at work. Very little media coverage went into three separate terrorist leaders thanking the US for installing a democratic majority. When I pointed out the very obscure articles to a co-worker he accused the writers of fear mongering. When the Administration defends its perfectly Constitutional program of listening to phone calls made by foreign terrorists, it is accused of fear mongering. When the Administration tells of attacks that have been prevented because of the Patriot Act, it is accused of fear mongering. I have seen countless articles claiming that the attacks of 911 are being used as an excuse to take away our liberties, one big plot by the government to play big bother.

For decades left of centre political parties in Europe have been trying to tax the most affluent in society, but have been scared off from doing their worst by centre-right Conservative Parties and the majority of the media with threats of how it would irrevocably damage their economies with a flight of capital abroad.

At the beginning of this vicious presidential race I complained that there wasn't a lot of difference in the two candidates, John McCain for the Republican Party and Barack Obama, a Democrat. Being a political conservative, I thought that John McCain had entirely too many leftist leanings and Barack Obama was much too liberal for me to even think seriously about giving him my vote. Since they both officially became their party's nominee for president, a lot has occurred to change my mind about one of them.

In the past few years our elected Republicans have completely turned away from Conservative principles and have actually promoted Liberal doctrine. We have seen this in the out-of-control spending and unjustified beliefs in junk science and more government control of our lives. What was once a Republican election victory through the, "Contract with America" concept has now become the Death Warrant of the same Party.
